The Maze lab is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to investigate activity-dependent mechanisms of histone monoaminylation, a novel mark discovered by the lab and mediated by transglutaminase enzymes. The role involves utilizing biochemical, molecular, genomic, proteomic, and behavioral approaches to study transglutaminase nuclear shuttling, complex binding, and recruitment to chromatin. The primary goal is to determine the molecular mechanisms contributing to this process in the central nervous system.
