About this role

The Mass Spectrometry Technology Access Center at WashU Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral associate to lead and execute hypothesis-driven research in proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics. The role involves designing experiments, managing core projects, maintaining high-end mass spectrometry instruments, and contributing to collaborative publications. Successful candidates will work independently and within a team to develop robust workflows and quantitative assays for biomedical service projects.

Responsibilities

Design and execute hypothesis-driven research plans for proteomics and metabolomics.
Manage core projects including sample preparation, execution, and data analysis.
Maintain and optimize high-end Orbitrap and Triple quad mass spectrometers.
Develop quantitative targeted assays using PRM methods and Skyline software.
Prepare manuscripts for collaborative publications in peer-reviewed journals.
