About this role

The Eddy Lab at the UBC Department of Radiology is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop novel 129Xe magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquisition techniques for pulmonary imaging. The position is funded through an NSERC Discovery Grant and a Mitacs Accelerate internship with Siemens Healthcare Limited, located on-site at the UBC Centre for Heart Lung Innovation. The fellow will report directly to the Principal Investigator and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of imaging scientists, engineers, and medical professionals.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize rapid pulse sequences for 129Xe MRI
Develop image reconstruction techniques for novel pulse sequences
Supervise undergraduate and junior graduate students and technicians

Skills

Qualifications

PhD in engineering, physics, or related discipline
