The TU Delft Structural Mechanics group is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to design a large-scale experimental campaign on historic masonry quay walls to help safeguard the future of Dutch canal cities. The role involves developing a novel testing procedure to evaluate the structural response of quay walls under settlement and lateral loading, including preliminary numerical studies and trial tests. This position is part of the CANALS project and interfaces with ongoing research on historical masonry infrastructure.
