Postdoctoral Researcher

A postdoctoral position in Dr. Paul Babitzke’s lab at Penn State will focus on studying transcription and post‑transcriptional regulatory mechanisms in Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. The role involves investigating RNA polymerase pausing, termination, and gene expression regulation using techniques such as cryo‑EM, RNET‑seq, Term‑seq, and Structure‑seq. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. in the life sciences and experience in gene regulation, RNA biochemistry, or related fields.
