About this role

This role involves advancing precision therapies for debilitating diseases like idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis by establishing a precision senolytic approach to eliminate pathological senescent cells in the fibrotic lung. The position requires conducting research across cellular and in vivo models to develop immune-based strategies and evaluate therapeutic efficacy. The scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to publish findings and present at scientific conferences.

Responsibilities

Establish and characterize models of cellular senescence relevant to fibrotic lung disease
Identify and validate cell-surface markers that distinguish pathological senescent cells from healthy tissue
Develop and engineer immune effector-based strategies to selectively eliminate senescent cells in the fibrotic lung
