Pou Tikanga

The Pou Tikanga role supports the General Manager and works across the entire organization to implement and promote the vision of Ngāti Whakaue in education, te reo Māori, housing, and social well-being. This unique position operates outside a traditional team structure, drawing authority from deep cultural knowledge, strong relationships, and the trust placed in the role by whānau and staff. The role ensures that all organizational activities reflect Ngāti Whakaue values, tikanga, and identity.
