Redwood Materials
The Power Electronics Engineer, Energy Storage designs and develops power conversion systems for next-generation Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including converters for utility-scale and data center applications. This fully on-site role involves independently owning complex circuit- and system-level problems, from topology selection to validation, while partnering with cross-functional teams to bring designs from concept to production. Success requires sound engineering judgment, hands-on lab validation skills, and the ability to resolve ambiguous technical trade-offs.
Redwood Materials is building a domestic stockpile of critical battery materials and deploying large-scale energy storage systems to power data centers and the nation’s grid. The company recovers and refines end-of-life batteries and manufacturing scrap into battery‑grade materials, helping close the loop on the battery supply chain. By scaling recycling, materials production, and grid-scale storage, Redwood aims to secure resilient U.S. supply chains for electrification while reducing the environmental impact of battery production.
