Power Line Technician

The Power Line Technician is responsible for building and maintaining dependable electric service in the GP&L transmission and distribution service area, including overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substation, and lighting systems. The role involves installing, removing, and maintaining transmission, distribution, substation, and service line equipment. The technician also repairs and replaces distribution power lines, identifies and diagnoses system disturbances, and prepares service requests to address malfunctions or problems.
