About this role

This role ensures the financial security of scheduled inpatient and outpatient accounts by obtaining prior authorizations based on payer requirements and verifying benefits. The specialist coordinates with physicians and Case Management to establish the appropriate level of care and ensure medical necessity. The position also serves as a resource for Revenue Cycle staff within the Pre-Service department.
