Precertification Coordinator

The Precertification Coordinator is responsible for obtaining authorizations for admissions as required by health plans and entering patient insurance authorizations into the patient account history. This role involves documenting insurance coverage, notifying case management of interactions with insurers, and managing denials or potential denials. The coordinator also monitors schedules to ensure that authorizations and initial length of stay are obtained and on file.
