Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The role involves handling high-exposure, complex bodily injury and property damage claims across the United States, excluding New York. The position is responsible for all aspects of claim-handling, including fact investigation, coverage analysis, injury/damages evaluation, and litigation management. The role requires evaluating claims, setting case resolution strategies, and independently handling mediations and trials in complex claims. The position also involves selecting, retaining, and directing appropriate defense counsel on litigated cases, and collaborating with Underwriting on industry trends or case law/statutory developments. The role may require occasional travel for mediations and trials as necessary.
