Principal Engineer – Protection & Control

The Principal Engineer – Protection & Control is responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance, and renewal of automation, data collection, and protection & control equipment subsystems on AVANGRID’s electric delivery infrastructure. This role ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective completion of engineering activities for electric transmission and substation system protection projects while maintaining compliance with applicable codes and standards. The position involves conducting analysis, developing estimates, coordinating with various stakeholders, and mentoring lower-level engineers.
