Principal Mechanical Engineer

Sarmal, Inc. is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to serve as the instrument lead for a point-of-care molecular diagnostic platform, owning the mechanical and electromechanical architecture from concept through product launch. This hands-on senior individual contributor role involves driving the design of the instrument and custom consumables, setting technical direction for outsourced partners, and establishing engineering practices for a growing internal hardware team. The position is based on-site in San Diego, California.
