Principal Mechanical R&D Engineer

The Principal R&D Engineer serves as a hands-on technical lead for upstream product development, rapidly converting clinical needs and emerging technologies into validated concepts, prototypes, and technical evidence to support investment decisions. This role focuses on de-risking ideas through rapid prototyping, experimentation, and feasibility analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth handoff to downstream development. The position requires strong mechanical engineering expertise, independent project ownership, and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces.
