The Principal ML Engineer leads the architecture and implementation of Workday's next-generation AI platforms and autonomous agent frameworks, transforming cutting-edge AI research into production-ready systems. This hands-on role involves designing ML infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration layers, and high-availability usage pipelines to power enterprise-grade decision-making and billing integrity. The position requires deep expertise in agentic AI, scalable ML infrastructure, and MLOps to support tens of millions of daily requests across global enterprise tenants.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and implementation of next-generation AI platforms and autonomous agent frameworks
Design and build scalable ML infrastructure, multi-agent orchestration layers, and high-availability usage pipelines
Establish end-to-end MLOps standards including CI/CD automation, observability, and model monitoring
