About this role

The Principal Modeling and Simulation Engineer leads the creation and operation of simulation environments for missile programs within the Kinetic Air and Missile Defense Division. This role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on software integration, executing hardware-in-the-loop testing, and driving system requirements to maximize capabilities. The engineer will also mentor high-performing teams, manage development stages from concept to validation, and support missile tests at remote sites.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement modeling and simulation environments for missile systems
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on software development and integration
Execute testing and data collection including hardware-in-the-loop activities
Develop six degrees of freedom modeling for performance validation
Mentor high-performing engineering teams and drive process improvements
