The Principal Engineer, Process Engineering serves as a global technical leader and Subject Matter Expert within Moderna's Global Engineering Technical Authority, providing technical direction and lifecycle support for GMP drug substance manufacturing process equipment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to design, evaluate, and implement innovative process technologies while ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and regulatory requirements. The position requires deep technical expertise in biopharmaceutical process equipment, particularly pump technologies and process sensors, to advance manufacturing capabilities and improve process robustness.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and oversight for GMP drug substance manufacturing process equipment
Lead cross-functional teams to design, evaluate, and implement innovative manufacturing technologies
Manage capital project lifecycle from conceptual design through commissioning and qualification
