About this role

The Principal Scientist leads the qualification and onboarding of new Contract Research Organization laboratories, building the external network that supports Lilly's growing portfolio of small molecule, oligonucleotide, peptide, biologic, and gene therapy programs. This high-visibility role provides ongoing scientific oversight of CRO performance, data quality, and regulatory compliance while mentoring colleagues and partnering across interdisciplinary teams. The position requires deep bioanalytical expertise to solve novel technical challenges and shape how external partners are selected and integrated.

Responsibilities

Lead qualification and onboarding of new CRO partners for ADME and bioanalytical assays
Provide scientific oversight and strategic guidance to CRO partners for method development and validation
Collaborate cross-functionally to align CRO capabilities with evolving program needs
