About this role

The Clinical Pathology Laboratory Manager/Principal Scientist provides operational and technical leadership for the clinical pathology laboratory within the Nonclinical Drug Safety Department. This role ensures accurate, compliant delivery of laboratory data across multiple species while collaborating with stakeholders to support nonclinical studies from discovery to post-marketing. The manager oversees daily functions, staffing, quality systems, and instrument operations to drive development decisions.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day functions of clinical pathology laboratory operations
Supervise laboratory personnel including hiring and performance reviews
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and Good Laboratory Practice
Monitor test performance and implement corrective actions for quality control failures
Evaluate new technologies and lead implementation projects

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory ScienceASCP (MLS/MLT) certification10 years clinical laboratory experience2 years supervisory experienceMaster's degree preferred
