As a Principal Search Architect at Elastic, you will serve as the elite technical authority for enterprise customers, designing and governing massive Elasticsearch cluster topologies to enable advanced search and AI capabilities. Acting as a strategic advisor to CTOs and engineering leaders, you will drive regional architectural standards, lead critical migrations, and shape the future of distributed search infrastructure while mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design and govern massive, complex Elasticsearch cluster topologies for enterprise customers.
Translate business requirements into resilient, next-generation retrieval architectures.
Lead technical strategy for cluster migrations, capacity planning, and shard strategies.
Operationalize semantic search solutions using native vector database capabilities and RAG pipelines.
Mentor Fortune 500 engineering teams and internal staff on technical excellence.

Qualifications

8+ years experience as Principal Architect or Lead EngineerBS, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related fieldDeep expertise in Elasticsearch internals and consensus protocols
