About this role

Zscaler seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical vision and hands-on execution for an automation-first culture, driving observability standards and multi-cloud infrastructure scalability. Reporting to Production Engineering in Cloud Infrastructure & Operations, this role focuses on designing highly available systems, reducing Mean Time to Mitigate, and leading incident management for a global platform protecting 15 million users. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration and ownership to ensure resilience and efficiency across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms
Develop automation scripts to reduce manual operational toil
Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for observability standards
Lead incident management and conduct post-incident analyses
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system operability

Skills

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in site reliability engineeringExperience managing large-scale production servicesProficiency in Python, Go, or C/C++Familiarity with ITIL frameworksKnowledge of public cloud infrastructure and IaC tools
