About this role

As a Principal Software Engineer at Amgen, you will lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of machine learning and Generative AI solutions, from problem framing to production deployment. Acting as the technical owner for large-scale initiatives, you will drive architecture decisions, establish MLOps best practices, and partner with business stakeholders to ensure measurable value delivery. This role requires designing and implementing advanced agentic AI systems and providing leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design and delivery of machine learning and Generative AI solutions
Act as technical owner for large-scale ML/GenAI initiatives with focusing on scalability
Design and implement advanced agentic AI systems including multi-agent architectures
Define and enforce frameworks for evaluation, validation, and governance of ML systems
Establish and enforce best practices in MLOps, LLMOps, and DevOps pipelines
