The Principal Storage Architect will define the high-performance storage architecture for Graphcore's AI computing and data center infrastructures, leading the design of local and distributed storage tiers. This role involves combining hands-on performance engineering with technical leadership across hardware, software, networking, and systems engineering to address storage requirements for large-scale AI training and inference. The position requires optimizing storage for AI workloads, managing NVMe SSD lifecycles, and setting technical direction for storage control-plane and data-plane solutions.

Responsibilities

Define high-performance storage architecture and technology roadmap for AI computing platforms
Design storage topologies optimizing PCIe lane allocation and data paths across hardware components
Profile and tune Linux storage stack and I/O schedulers to improve IOPS and latency
