About this role

As a Principal Tooling Engineer at Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced tools and fixtures for Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) turbine components. This role requires extensive expertise to drive innovation in tooling solutions, support manufacturing maturation for commercial and military applications, and mentor junior engineers within a cross-functional aerospace and defense environment.

Responsibilities

Design tooling for all processes utilized to manufacture CMCs
Establish best design practices for materials and tolerances
Support implementation of automation to improve quality
Identify and implement shop floor process optimization
Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness through TPM
