About this role

Sappi is seeking energetic Engineering students for full-time, paid co-op positions spanning 15 months during the 2026/2027 school year at their Cloquet, Minnesota mill. Candidates will support Environmental, Paper, or Pulp departments through field sampling, data analysis, project management, and process optimization initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience with chemical, biological, mechanical, and electrical processes within a major pulp and paper manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Perform field sampling and analytical testing for environmental and process optimization
Conduct data analysis to support process efficiency improvements
Manage projects within the Environmental or Pulp and Paper business units
Collaborate with process engineers and manufacturing teams on technical assignments
Generate reports and develop training materials for mill operations

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's in EngineeringMinimum 2 years completedGPA of 3.0 or higher
