About this role

The Logistics & Storage Environmental, Safety, Security and Product Quality department seeks a process safety leader to develop technical expertise and leadership skills. This role involves leading incident investigations, performing process safety leak calculations, developing AI tools for hazard analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across MPC facilities. The successful candidate will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to mitigate process safety risks and drive proactive prevention initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead comprehensive incident investigations and develop root cause analyses
Perform and validate process safety leak calculations and categorization
Develop AI tools for analyzing incident data and process hazards
Ensure compliance with PSM and RMP regulatory requirements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate process safety risks

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum) or HES-related fieldValid Driver's License10 years of relevant experience in process industry OR Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experienceWorking knowledge of PSM and RMP regulatory requirementsExperience implementing process safety elements
