Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer defines and enforces electronic hardware and interface requirements for critical closure subsystems within Ford's electrical architectures, including Door Control Units and Frunk Control Units. This role ensures robust hardware design, efficient IC selection, and adherence to component capabilities across all functional and ambient ranges. The position involves leading hardware design development, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry specifications. The engineer also manages technical interfaces, conducts root cause analysis, and supports the product development lifecycle from concept to production.
