About this role

This fully remote role involves evaluating medical records to assign appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with national guidelines. Ideal candidates must currently hold a certification through AAPC or AHIMA and possess knowledge of academic coding guidelines for surgical urology and gynecology oncology.

Responsibilities

Evaluate medical records to assign accurate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes
Consult with providers to clarify missing or inadequate record information
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and NCCI coding guidelines
Abstract clinical diagnoses and document pertinent information in electronic records
Compile daily and monthly reports for research and analysis purposes
