Professional Mathematic Tutor

Professional mathematic tutors facilitate student academic skill development in NCMC math courses by coordinating learning and providing one-to-one and small group tutoring within the Resource Center. The role involves assessing student learning needs, setting academic goals, and assisting students in reaching them while acting as a referral agent for those struggling academically or personally. Tutors are expected to maintain a genuine concern for student needs and foster positive study habits.
