Consumer Reports is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides evidence-based product testing, ratings, and consumer advice. It publishes unbiased reviews and recommendations across 10,000+ products and services—backed by in-house labs, research, and large-scale surveys—to help people make smarter buying decisions. The site and magazine are membership-supported and explicitly separate their testing and journalism from advertising to preserve impartiality. Beyond reviews, Consumer Reports also produces investigative reporting and advocates for consumer safety, transparency, and stronger public policy.
