Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM) is a county-based health plan dedicated to helping San Mateo County’s vulnerable and underinsured residents live the healthiest lives possible. HPSM administers Medi‑Cal and Medicare products and programs — including CareAdvantage, HealthWorx, the ACE program and special‑needs/duals plans — and provides benefits for prescriptions, vision, and other enhanced services. The organization works with a network of local doctors, hospitals and pharmacies and offers member and provider portals plus online tools to find providers and medicines. Its focus is on coordinating care and expanding access to affordable, comprehensive health services for the community.
