The Project Geologist supports Bunker Hill Mine's exploration, resource development, and operational geology activities by leading geological programs including drilling, sampling, and resource evaluation. This role ensures accurate data collection and utilization to optimize resource development, support safe mining practices, and contribute to the long-term success of the operation. The position involves close collaboration with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to drive sustainable mining outcomes.
Production at the historical Bunker Hill Mine began in 1885 and ran for over 95 years. It was a lead metal mine with silver and zinc produced as a by-product. The amount of silver historically produced now represents a significant potential at Bunker Hill and across the Coeur d’Alene Mining District. The district has yielded a historic silver production of over 1.2 billion ounces, with the Bunker Hill Mine accounting for nearly 15% of the silver production. Given the historical data analyzed, we believe that the historical Bunker Hill mine has the potential to be re-started as one of the largest high-grade silver mines in the world and we have the exclusive lease and option to purchase it.
