About this role

We are looking for a Safety Manager to join the Rail Projects team in the Eastern Route portfolio, based in Sheffield and travelling to sites like Immingham and York. The role involves ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and CDM regulations, conducting site inspections, and leading safety initiatives across construction projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project management teams to embed safety, wellbeing, and sustainability plans into all operations.

Responsibilities

Lead safety initiatives and deliver safety leadership across construction projects
Conduct internal and external inspections and audits for regulatory compliance
Investigate injuries, incidents, and near misses in line with client standards
Embed environmental management systems and sustainability plans into projects
Represent the firm at HSE meetings with clients, contractors, and subcontractors
