About this role

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Project Pipe Welder B to set up, operate, and adjust manual and/or automatic machines for welding operations in all positions at their Solar Turbines manufacturing facility in Channelview, Texas. This supplemental role involves performing manual finish welding on carbon and stainless steel, as well as carbon arc cutting and gouging, to support production demands. The position requires candidates to pass welder qualification tests and be available for 1st or 2nd shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and automatic welding operations on carbon and stainless steel in all positions
Execute carbon arc cutting and gouging procedures to prepare and dress welds
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes to move and position work pieces safely
