About this role

The Provider Documentation & Billing Auditor conducts independent audits and reviews of provider documentation, coding, billing, and reimbursement practices to ensure compliance with organizational policies, federal and state laws, and payer requirements. This role identifies compliance risks, evaluates documentation accuracy, and develops recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve billing compliance. The Auditor serves as a subject matter resource for providers and staff regarding documentation integrity, coding accuracy, and regulatory expectations.
