Public Health Officer

The Public Health Officer plans, organizes, and administers the County medical Public Health Program, providing oversight of selected divisions within the Health Care Services Agency. This role involves enforcing local, state, and federal public health laws, serving as the local Registrar of Vital Records, and providing leadership in the design and implementation of departmental goals and strategies. The position requires representing the Agency before various boards, committees, and community organizations on medical issues.
