Public Safety Dispatcher

The Public Safety Dispatcher uses a computer-aided dispatch system to receive calls and dispatch police, fire, or other City services by answering emergency and non-emergency calls and providing assistance. This journey technical level position involves independently performing the full range of duties assigned within the Communications Center. The role serves as the first point of contact for community members requesting assistance, ensuring critical information is gathered for positive outcomes.
