The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is the state agency that administers driver licensing, identification, vehicle registration and titles, and statewide highway safety programs. It oversees the Florida Highway Patrol and coordinates traffic law enforcement, commercial vehicle safety, crash reporting, and driver records and compliance (including REAL ID and organ donor registration). FLHSMV also provides online services for renewals, record and crash report requests, and conducts public education and outreach to reduce traffic fatalities and improve road safety.
