Purchasing Agent

A Purchasing Agent at Seabird Island is responsible for verifying goods and service orders, preparing and forwarding purchase orders, confirming receipt of goods and services, and authorizing payments. They research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capacities, and the supplier’s reputation and history. They manage relationships with key suppliers/vendors to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contract. They coordinate with suppliers to resolve performance/standards related issues and develop contract terms and conditions and administer contract changes as required.
