About this role

Leidos Defense is hiring a Quality Engineer for the San Diego office to support quality assurance, control, and technical installation for critical naval sonar and C4ISR programs aboard ships. The role involves ensuring compliance with military and commercial standards while liaising between shipyard forces, customers, and project teams to resolve installation issues. Candidates must possess a background in shipboard electrical/electronic systems and hold an active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform QA oversight and inspections on shipboard electrical and mechanical systems
Develop and review quality plans of action for installation projects
Liaise between ship force, shipyard, and NAVSEA personnel to resolve discrepancies
Prepare Quality Control Reports and maintain data in inspection databases
Write effective corrective and preventive actions based on root cause analysis
