About this role

The Radiation Oncology Nurse collaborates with the Radiation Oncology Team to provide continuity of quality patient care throughout the treatment course and follow-up period for cancer patients. Responsibilities include direct patient care, symptom management, patient and family teaching, and coordinating care with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
Observe and document patient status during all radiation procedures
Educate patients and families regarding radiation side effects and care
Coordinate inpatient care with other members of the healthcare team
Maintain accuracy and completeness of nursing documentation
