Join Benesch’s Railroad Services group as a member of the Public Projects Structures Review team to gain practical experience across diverse railroad bridge and grade separation projects. The role involves performing technical design reviews of railroad structures, evaluating construction plans, and participating in structural design assignments and field inspections. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on projects supporting Class I, short line, and commuter railroads.

Responsibilities

Review structural plans and technical submittals for railroad infrastructure projects
Evaluate designs against railroad standards and project requirements
Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues and protect railroad operations

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasisdegree in Structural EngineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certificationProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure
