Reading Assist
The Reading Assist Fellow serves in a Sussex County elementary school to provide foundational reading instruction to struggling students in kindergarten through fifth grade. This AmeriCorps program requires a full-time commitment of 1,200 service hours over a school year, beginning with four weeks of intensive training. Fellows work closely with a Program Manager to deliver individualized support and monitor student progress.
Reading Instruction For Kids Who Need It Most Reading Assist provides high-impact tutoring for students in grades K-3 in the lowest 25% for reading proficiency, with a focus on serving in schools where there is the highest need.
