Reading Specialist - Substitute

The Elementary Reading Specialist delivers high-impact foundational literacy instruction to early learners (Grades K–5) to close achievement gaps and accelerate student growth. Grounded in Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) standards and the Rhode Island Right to Read Act, this position provides explicit, systematic structured literacy instruction and early diagnostic support. The specialist partners closely with grade-level educators to foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment—ensuring every student receives personalized attention, feels comfortable asking questions, and develops a lifelong foundation in literacy.
