The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is the U.S. nonprofit clearinghouse and comprehensive reporting center dedicated to preventing child victimization and helping recover missing and exploited children. It operates the CyberTipline and other reporting, case-management, and family-support services, and works closely with families, law enforcement, and partners to investigate cases, coordinate searches, and provide forensic and identification resources. NCMEC also provides prevention education, training, public awareness, and policy advocacy to reduce abduction, abuse, and online exploitation. The organization is funded by donations, grants, and partner support to sustain its nationwide mission that every child deserves a safe childhood.
