PHENND (Philadelphia Higher Education Network for Neighborhood Development) is a coalition of Philadelphia colleges and universities focused on neighborhood development through higher education. The network connects campuses with local nonprofits, community groups, and city partners to advance service-learning, community-based research, internships, and civic engagement. It provides coordination, resources, and opportunities for collaboration across institutions to design place-based projects that benefit Philadelphia neighborhoods. By aligning university expertise with community needs, PHENND helps students gain experiential learning while strengthening urban development and equity in the region.
