Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA, primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior analytic services. The role involves providing social skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on Applied Behavior Analysis principles to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in a school setting. The RBT collects data on programs, assists with staff training, and supports behavioral assessments under the direction of the Behavior Specialist.
