Registered Nurse First Assistant

The Registered Nurse First Assistant is an allied health professional who provides direct surgical care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations as an integral part of the OR team. Under the direction of the Surgeon, the primary responsibility is to assist throughout surgical procedures by applying demonstrated knowledge of safe perioperative nursing practice, human anatomy, and surgical procedures to assure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves collaborating with healthcare providers, participating in performance improvement activities, and maintaining a positive attitude with exceptional customer service.
