The Registered Nurse works on a fast-paced, highly collaborative teaching unit serving medical patients with acute illnesses, injuries, or chronic condition exacerbations. The role involves providing patient-centered care to critical care patients requiring additional interventions such as cardiac drips, insulin drips, and respiratory support. The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
